Balloons or stents: When needed (blockages >75-80% of lumen of coronary arteries) they can be opened with balloons (angioplasty) or "scafolds" inside the vessels called stents. At age 16 you should not be worried about blockages and the best thing you can do to prevent them is: do not smoke and live a healthy lifestyle with plenty of exercise and avoid being overweight
