Yes and no: The general answer is yes, alcohol is not part of a balanced nutrition & not needed for normal body maintenance.Males get somewhat of a pass when it comes to the effect of alcohol on fertility. Unlike women who nurture a finite number of eggs, the male can generate new healthy sperm by the millions daily. Normal sperm would swim better than any affected by alcohol, so it's impact is less on outcome.
