Reflux formula: You do not have to switch to a lactose free formula for reflux. You can try a reflux formula such as enfamil ar. This is a reflux formula that thickens upon entrance into the stomach. Some babies with severe reflux symptoms also might need medication (i.e. Zantac) and/or thickened feeds to control their reflux symptoms.
