Pelvic pain: There are so many explanations for pain in th pelvis, it is not possible to say it is your uterus. Could be ovarian cysts, ligaments of th pelvis, or muscles and tendons of the abdomen. Is the pain incited by movement of the pelvis or low back? If so it is probably musculoskeletal.

Infection or growth: If you have not had pain in your uterus before, you should consult your gyn. Infeciton is a common cause of pain and can be easily treated with antibiotics. You may have a polyp for fibroid inside the lining or fibroids within the uterus, it is rare to develop endometriosis at 44. Also, you could be pregnant.
