A member asked:

I have recently changed the pill i have been taking to loestrin24, i was due my first period a few days ago and it hasn't come, is this quite common?

Yes : Oftentimes women will notice shorter, lighter, or no menses when on a lower dose oral contraceptive. There is no harm to this- frequently it is a welcome relief from the many menstrually- related symptoms that women have to deal with. The concern with no menses is with missing a sign of pregnancy. This is uncommon - especially if you take the pill everyday as directed.
