3-6 months: Sadly, based on experience in family members, life expectancy is less than 6 months.

Findings of: Vascular (portal vein, superior mesenteric artery or vein, aorta) are usually reasons to not attempt resection, and may indicate a reason for chemo- or chemo/rt to convert to resectable, but survival becomes short with overt metastasis to liver, peritoneum. The range a skewed to 4-12 weeks, but some survive for a year. With vessel and posterior invasion, pain is prominent. Check hospice alternativ.
