See doctor again: Maybe the marijuana that you use for "help" is the reason nothing else helps. Nearly all bipolar patients can be helped with a combination of counseling and legitimate pharmacology. Mj is a remarkably psychoactive toxin causing many chronic mental health symptoms. If, indeed, only mj has helped so far, then your doctor should be aware of this and work out a proper treatment plan with you.

Helps? In what way?: What symptoms do you experience, and how do you feel marijuana helps them? It may temporarily mellow aggressiveness in some, but causes paranoia and psychosis in others. Xanax (alprazolam) is not a treatment for bipolar disorder either, and it's on your "additional patient information" along with Ambien and ibuprofen. Please discuss with your own psychiatrist, since it seems your case is very complicated.
