Naps are important!: Your little one is much more aware of her surrounding making it much more difficult to settle down for a nap. Try a consistent nap routine and limit outside stimuli--light, sound, etc. 6 month olds need 2 naps and a full nights rest.

Any symptoms ???: Most infants have a brain driven sleep center that will keep them remarkably refreshed on 5-10 minute cat naps if they don't take formal scheduled naps. Sleep deprivation will usually lead to a crabby kid who is a bit more sickly than her peers & less interested in sustained play. If baby sleeps well at night for > 9 hours, feeds well, plays well & keeps you running, she's sneeking cat naps.
