I'm on toprol (metoprolol) 50 mg xl and synthroid 50 mcg daily. can i drink alcohol in moderation or is even a little unsafe with these meds?

Safe enough: If the toprol (metoprolol) is being given for high blood pressure, however, alcohol can raise blood pressure. Hence, i would not take more than 3 individual beverages of alcohol per week.

Safe: Many people are on these medications for hypertension and hypothyroidism. This is not to say that I am condoning alcholol consumption but in moderation, you will have no problems.
