WHY?: Why would you take anything that you don't know what it is, don't know what it's supposed to do for you, don't know how to judge if it's helping and don't know what harm it might do or how it could interact with your medication? Don't get your medical information from friends, tv or the internet. Stick with what your doctor prescribes and that only. It won't help you and could hurt you.

Maybe: I dont know of anything particularly good or bad about this, and the fda doesn't regulate these types of supplements so you dont know if what you are taking is what is on the label. Citalopram in general has very few interactions.

Maca Powder: Interesting idea. Maca root has several uses, including enhancing energy, stamina, & memory in chronic fatigue. Also it's said to be helpful in various female hormone imbalances, and to increase male sexual desire. There's at least one research study on this: http://www.Ncbi.Nlm.Nih.Gov/pubmed/12472620?Dopt=abstract -- & no med interactions either. Please discuss w/your doctor, though!
