Personal doctor opinion's wanted! what bipolar medicine do you think is the best? i am scared of meds

Lithium : Lithium has historically been the most effective. It has however fallen out of favor as it has a narrow therapeutic index and many drug-drug interactions, meaning it has to be monitored closely by a doctor who has experience with lithium. Olanzapine is another very effective one, but it too has many bad side effects. But se can be kept at bay w proper diet/exercise.
