Could having a toothache be related to being sick?

Tooth pain: The upper back teeth border on the maxillary sinus. If you have a sinus infection or a bad cold it can cause pain in those teeth like a toothache.

Depends: Upper teeth can feel pain if you are having sinus issues. If your pain (or pressure) varies with your head position or can't be localized to a single tooth, your problem may very well be a sinus infection, not a true toothache.

Possibly: Inflamed sinuses can cause your maxillary posterior teeth to hurt. It is quite common, and the toothaches should pass when your cold does.
