Constipation: This is a common complaint. Typically, it is related to dehydration with breast feeding, narcotic pain medications and inadequate soluble fiber. Drink extra water and get 30 grams per day of fiber. Consider stool softener if on pain meds. If persists, may have an anal fissure.
