BAD BM's: Hard, dry stool which is difficult to pass( constipation). Liquid or frequent, moist stools (diarrhea). Black, tarry, malodorous stools ( melena). Blood mixed in with stool or covering stool. Green or yellow stool may come from rapid transit time through the colon. Pale stool may be associated with decreased bile salts. Abdominal pain associated iwth stool is a problem. See below:.
