A member asked:

Is it possible to get more than one type of headache at the same time?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

It is but unlikely: Patients with seemingly multiple types of headache (ha) usually have migraine with a component of rebound. Patients who take a lot of pain meds often get into a rebound cycle where they have a low leve of pain all the time. Sometimes the ha can be particularly bad and sometimes it is minor. It does not usually respond well to meds because of the rebound. Treating it all like migraine can help all.
