Gastritis?: If pain is just under rib line, more front than side on left, may be your stomach being irritated by the alcohol (aka: alcoholic gastritis). Resolves after weeks to months with abstinence (and ideally an h2 blocker, like pepcid). If not gone w/abstinence and Pepcid (famotidine) after 3-4 weeks, see your dr.
