Stretch: Long term answer is low back strengthening through therapy and exercises, but if you are currently suffering you should start with rest. Take anti inflammatories, rest at least for 8 hours (sleep) and then perform stretching exercises to help take away your muscle spasms. If this does not help you you may need a short course of muscle relaxants.
