Claudication?: Perhaps this is just due to being out of shape, but i'm concerned that this might be a problem with the circulation in your legs. If you also have this problem when you walk, you should see your doctor.

Lactic Acid: If you have not been on a bike in a long time and feel the burn in the muscles it can be due to a Lactic Acid build up. The muscles cannot get enough oxygen and an anaerobic metabolism occurs with a Lactic Acid production that produces the burning sensation.
