A stimulant dose is : Like water in a leaky bucket, ; it runs out each day. Each preparation of methylphenidate or amphetamine has a specific onset, peak & duration of action & individuals with adhd may absorb, metabolize & excrete them differently. "rebound" symptoms at wear-off (fatigue, depression, irritability, ⬆ed adhd symptoms) require adjustment of dose, timing of dose or or addition of adjunct medication.
