Clonazepam: Clonazepam is a benzodiazepine. This is the same category for valium (diazepine), Ativan (lorazepam), xanax (alprazolam). They all share in common the mechanism of action. Chemical differences in its molecule make it a great option for myoclonus, tremors, anxiety with less sedative effect than others in the same category. Although not entirely correct you may call it tranquilizer.
