Allergies : Allergies cause itching & tearing. Over-the-counter allergy medicine & eyedrops help relieve it. Zaditor (ketotifen) is a good eyedrop. Blepharitis also causes itching & this can you can try loraditine (claritin) or other previous prescription anti-allergy meds. Check with your doctor if you have any medical conditions or are pregnant.

Allergy or sinusitis: The drainage of the tears of the eye connect to the nose. Sometimes infections (from virus or bacteria) or allergy: if itchy symptoms also of the nose or sinus can affect the eye and vice versa. You may have allergy or sinusitis. Your md can prescribe a med & drop that will dry out your sinuses either way.
