Resumes right away: Fertility resumes once iud, such as the mirena, (levonorgestrel) is removed. It is not necessary to wait if interested in conceiving.

Mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD: With most not hormonal iud ovulation is not interfered with and therefore can start trying imediately. With Mirena (levonorgestrel) which is a hormonal iud (progesterone) ovulation and regrowth of lining may take a few months. Can still start trying right away but may take a little longer.
