You really should : See a doctor...It is possible all it is is a strain...But often with "whiplash" there may be residual pain for days or weeks...Aside from ensuring that nothing serious is wrong..It is very important to document any and all injuries, and a doctors report is considered documentation.

See family MD: Burning pain is a symptom of nerve irritation. You may need the neck work-up. You need to be seen and evaluated by a family physician so that it can be appropriately managed so that the acute pain is controlled and do not become chronic.
