Varies.: The amount of time that a woman bleeds after having a mirena (levonorgestrel) IUD removed or any other change in contraception can vary from several days to many weeks. It usually does not take long for the uterine lining to stop bleeding after an IUD removal. If the bleeding persists or is problematic then consult with your doctor. Hope this helps.
