Depo Provera (medroxyprogesterone)?: I am guessing by "the injection" you are referring to depoprovera, a progesterone-only birth control shot given every 3 months. F that is the case, you should start birth control pills at the same date your next shot should be -ie, 3 months after your last shot. If you wait any longer than 3 months you need to use condoms with the first pill pack to avoid pregnancy.
