Yes: Coumadin (warfarin) is a drug which inhibits the ability of your blood to clot properly. If the inr gets above therapeutic ranges it increases the chances that you may have spontaneous bleeding. This should be explained to you carefully by the doctor who prescribed this. Go and see them asap.

INR: There is a small increase in bleeding risk at that level but for some conditions we keep inr that high. Get in touch with your care team and get your advice on what to do with your warfarin dosing to bring it back safely to 2 to 3.
