Blood Gas: The blood gas is used to monitor the very cornerstone of the balance between sickness and death in critically ill patients. The measurement of the acid and base baselines in the blood can also tell if one's heart and lungs are working well together. The blood gas is used to manage much of the highly sensitive medicines and machines working to keep a patient alive.
