Complicated: The meniscus helps the cartilage and vice versa. It all depends on how much cartilage damage there is and how much meniscus is left. You must realize that once cartilage damage begins, high impact activities can cause continued pain and may not be the best idea. Talk with an orthopedic surgeon. You can still be active but you may have to modify some of your training.
