Abdominal symptoms: Lactose intolerance usually causes symptoms of abdominal pain, bloating, gas, diarrhea, and cramping when one has consumed the milk sugar, lactose. In addition to milk, lactose is also found in ice cream, cheese, and other milk/dairy products. Lactaid may be beneficial in those with lactose intolerance.
