Well, maybe . . .: You might have ocd if you have dominating and intrusive thoughts that cause a lot of anxiety, and then you repeat behaviors (e.g., hand washing ordering, etc.) in order to prevent or reduce distress. But, there is more than this to an actual diagnosis of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Your psychiatrist/psychologist can help.

You are smart girl: You must be smart girl because you have identified this important problem. Now recognize there are good treatment for ocd so you need to talk with your doctor who should refer you to a mental health specialist.
