Insect bite reaction: Gently cleanse with soap and water. Cool ice or compresses. Over the counter anti-itch topical creams: benadryl, (diphenhydramine) caladryl, 1% Hydrocortisone can improve the itchiness. Oral antihistamines like benadryl, (diphenhydramine) zyrtec, Claritin are the fastest way to slow the process down from the blood stream to the probable insect bite or contact irritaton.

Rash on elbow: If it si not itchy benadryl, (diphenhydramine) calamin lotion etc. May not help. Although it could be an insect bite, make sure it is not a lymph node, or a friciton or burn from touching a hot surface. See your doctor if hydorgen peroxide hurts as usually hyedrogen peroxide does not sting.
