A member asked:

I am a high school health science teacher and we are covering the respiratory system. i need to find out what conditions a bronchoconstrictrictor would be rx'd for.

A doctor has provided 1 answer

None: Bronchoconstrictors reduce the lumen of the brochus and bronchioles. These are not used clinically as they cause breathing problems. Bronchodilators open the airway and are commonly used for the treatment of asthma or emphysema.
