Addiction and Opioid: Painkiller categorized as opioids (eg morphine) are all potentially addictive because they bind to receptors in your brains addiction centers as well as those that mediate pain. There is a higher chance of addiction with higher doses and longer use.

Yes,: Many prescription painkillers contain opiates, which can be addictive.Examples are vicodin, percocet, Oxycontin to name a few. Make sure to take them as prescribed.
