Chronic cough...: A cough lasting this long is considered a chronic cough. The most common etiologies for chronic cough include bronchitis (acute due to infection or chronic, a form of copd), gerd, sinus problem, bronchospasm. All of these have different treatments and it is possible to have more than one at the same time. So, you need to see your doctor for diagnosis and treatment. If you smoke, quit today.
