Test 'em out: Cerave, cetaphil, eucerin, or one of the rx creams like mimyx, hylatopic, or epiceram. Reapply whenever dry & within 5 minutes of bath or shower.

Ichthyosis vulgaris: Ichthyosis vulgaris is genetic skin condition related to atopy (asthma, allergies, eczema) that looks like fish scales usually on the lower legs, but can involve the entire body. There is no cure, but using a cream w/alpha hydroxy acids like ammonium lactate makes appearance much better. Ichthyosis is better in the summer when humidity is higher. New onset ichthyosis in adults needs a workup.
