Blood pressure drop: When a person stands up, the heart beats a little harder and faster increasing blood pressure in order to get blood up to the brain. If a person stands up too quickly, the blood pressure to the brain can drop resulting in a loss of vision, light-headedness, blacking out, and even falling. Certain medications and/or dehydration can make this respond more pronounced. Drink plenty of water.
