May be normal: It is normal to have some vaginal discharge. Depending on the cycle of your hormones, discharge maybe thick and white, or clear and sticky. Or any variation in between. If there are other symptoms such as vaginal itching / burning, spotting, painful urination; or, if the discharge is green or has a foul odor it may be time to visit your ob/gyn to have some vaginal cultures ordered.

Maybe nothing: Vaginal discharge is a normal process of the body. The cervix produces mucus and the skin of the vagina sheds just like the skin on your arms and therefore can be normal. The discharge varies between clear to white depending on the time of cycle.. If there is a change in the color, odor or irritation associated with it then there is usually an infection or other problem that needs evaluation.
