Depends: It depends on your GFR and if you have risk factors for progression that are uncontrolled, ie htn, dm, acidosis, sec hyperparathyroidism, and tob use. And by time left do you mean death or dialysis...Esrd doesn't have to mean death, esp if you have dialysis and a transplant.
