Inflammation: Hello, Capsulitis weather in the foot or elsewhere in the body, is inflammation of joint covering/tissue that surrounds it. Capsulitis is usually found in the forefoot along the metatarsophalangeal joints, can be caused by overuse, trauma, arthritic conditions. Long standing capsulitis can leading to a condition called predislocation syndrome in that area due to attenuation of the plantar plate.
