Depends on cause: We need more information to determine the reason for the swelling and treatment would depend on the cause. If the swelling is related to being on your feet most of the day, putting your feet up at night might help. With an examination, your doctor can help guide treatment.

Feet swelling.: Many things from simple dietary indiscretions, such as an excess of salt, to medical conditions including congestive heart failure, blood clot, kidney insufficiency or liver insufficiency, can cause the feet to swell. Could also be related to arthritis, gout, plantar fasciitis or even medications (calcium channel blockers or NSAIDs like Naproxen). Work-up is necessary.
