Maybe, try treating: It is possible it is from her flatfeet, although if she is seeing a rheumatologist, it could be due to a rheumatological disorder. To solve that issue, she should try a pair of orthotics to see if they help. If the pain is solely due to flatfeet, the orthotics should help. Ideally she would wear custom orthotics (avoid the cushioned ones from drugstores as they won't do much).
