6yr old has pain in feet ankles & knees rhuemo says from flat feet & podiatrist says where her pain is its not from her flat feet. what could be wrong?

Sed rate helpful: Flat feet can give you referred pain to ankles and knees. Getting a sed rate might be helpful, since the sed rate, while non specific is usually elevated in ra.

Maybe, try treating: It is possible it is from her flatfeet, although if she is seeing a rheumatologist, it could be due to a rheumatological disorder. To solve that issue, she should try a pair of orthotics to see if they help. If the pain is solely due to flatfeet, the orthotics should help. Ideally she would wear custom orthotics (avoid the cushioned ones from drugstores as they won't do much).

Have it re-evaluated: Kids may experience pain during rapid growth spurts. Have your child re-evaluated and get the appropriate treatment.
