It could be referred: Pain. When the nerves are cut during the biopsy , it may cause referred pain on the other side.. Follow up with your gyn for reassurance. Take care!

The skin incision: is not where the actual biopsy occurred. Depending on the image guidance modality, the position of the biopsied lesion, the needle length, and the required trajectory or path of the needle, the biopsy site could potentially be a significant distance from the incision site, even sometimes on the opposite side of the breast. That said, you should call your doc about the symptoms you are having.
