Diet & Exercise: The best is to eat a diet low in red meats, & fats & high in vegetables & fish & to exercise & lose weight if you are overweight. If these do not bring the levels to a good range then your md may prescribe a statin med to help lower it. To some extent, your levels are determined by genetics which is often why meds are needed.

See below: 1. Stop eating meat, meat products, cheese, too much other dairy, & oils from animal fats. Cholesterol is only in animal cells so if u don't consume them, there is no way to add extra cholesterol to ur body. It can be done but even a dramatic reduction will help. 2. Exercise - good blood flow, lower blood pressure & weight, stable sugar will all help with metabolism. 3. Take meds if ur dr recs.
