Lumps & Bumps: There are lots of lumps and bumps we can get in the feet. Location and characteristics such as color, size, softness/hardness, pain, etc help make a more accurate diagnosis. Sometimes advanced imaging is needed to help aid in diagnosis. It is good to monitor these even without pain for changes.

Hard to say: There are a number of potential causes and a detailed exam can usually tell the cause. Having a lump above the "ball" of the foot is usually associated with the insertion of the achilles tendon and can be seen in chronic tendinitis. Causes of lumps under the third toe can include a neuroma, a ganglion, a corn among many possibilities. Thank you for the question.
