Cath: High risk cardiac cath would refer to the risk of the procedure in the individual patient. Cardiac cath in and of itself carries a fairly low risk but in some people because of their condition, the risk is higher and in some, the risk is much higher because of their instability.

Many reasons: There are many reasons why a heart cath would be considered high risk. The vessels affected or the health status of the patient are very important.
