This morning i had a sore throat only on the left side. kinda sore when swallowing, no fever, and worse than in the morning. could this be strep?

Maybe or maybe not: Atypical presentations of group b strep without a fever can occur. But typically strep throat usually has fever, isolated sore throat and no congestive symptoms. A large number of sore throat however can be attributed to a viral condition. Have your primary run a rapid strep test if concerned.

Yes, but...: If it goes away during the day and you have no fever or headache, it is unlikely.
