A member asked:

If i only pump, would breastmilk dry up? baby won't latch. also it gets very hard, full & painful. it only helps if i pump. how do i prevent this?

Breastfeeding: If you continue to pump you will continue to make milk. Many women just pump like you are doing although its best if you nurse too. As far as getting baby to latch, you may want to see if your hospital or doctors office can refer you to a lactation specialist who can see what is going on and help get you going. Sometimes it just takes a few adjustments to get nursing to be successful.
