Productive Cough: A chronic cough, productive of mucus is always an area of concern, and you should follow up with your doctor. Chronic bronchitis is the most likely cause, or asthma. Are you a smoker? Sometimes a chronic sinus infection can result in a cough with mucus production , especially upon arising in the morning. Follow up with your doctor.

Get examined: U may have bronchitis, allergies , post nasal drip etc u can try otc Mucinex (guaifenesin) dm. Only your dr can make make an accurate dx. Take care !
