Many things!: Not enough specifics to diagnose problem. You need to see an orthopedist or rheumatologist for evaluation, if you first see your pcp, and the problem continues. Sorry. Hope it is nothing significant!

Hard to say: It is hard to say without more info. Usually a detailed exam can give us a good idea. For a 21 yo female with no history of injury the three most common conditions include patellofemoral pain, a tendinitis such as tfl syndrome, or an inflammatory condition. Again, a detailed exam will give us an idea and tell you the probable diagnosis and treatment options. Thank you for the question.

See your doctor: You could have a host of issues that could cause your knee pain, could be bursitis, tendonitis, arthritis, ligament issues, meniscal injury, sciatica (especially since you mention numbness) etc. So you may want to see an orthopedic pain or spine specialist that can tell you what is going and help you with the latest treatments available.
