Neuropathy: Pins and needles sensations are usually related to nerve irritation or blood flow issues. You should be evaluate by your primary care physician to narrow it down. There are many causes, some require medical treatments. Diabetes is just one example. Heavy metals, like mercury from seafood, can do it too, as can raynaud's syndrome which causes constriction of capillaries.

Have it evaluated.: Neuropathy is a condition resulting from abnormal nerve function. Neuropathy can be due to certain vitamin deficiencies, nerve damage due to trauma, alcohol consumption, radiation, side effects of certain medications, or due to certain medical conditions such as diabetes. Treatment varies depending on the cause of the problem. Have it evaluated and appropriately treated.
